Planning a sustainable future for Dartmoor National Park
The Dartmoor National Park Authority has submitted a development plan document (DPD) called the Development Management and Delivery Plan to the Secretary of State, for independent examination. The Plan, known as the ‘DMD', sets out detailed development management policies covering, for example, housing, traffic and tourism, to guide development within the National Park. The document also contains site specific policies, such as allocations of areas of land for housing.

Dog walkers are invited to Paws on Dartmoor
Dartmoor National Park Authority is inviting dog walkers to Paws on Dartmoor at Roborough Common on Friday 8, Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 June 2012. The weekend of doggy related activities is free and is part of a new campaign promoting responsible access to Dartmoor with a dog and canine health and safety awareness.

Ten Tors and Jubilee Challenge 2012
The 52nd annual Ten Tors Challenge starts at Okehampton Camp on the Northern edge of Dartmoor at exactly 0700 on Saturday 12 May. 2,400 youngsters aged between 14 and 19 from across the south west will take part in the Army run event; one of the biggest adventure challenges for young people in Britain.
