Georgina Geikie
Sport: pistol shooting
Georgina Geikie, the ladies pistol shooter (10m air pistol and 25m sport pistol), competed as part of Team GB at the London 2012 games although she did not qualify for the 25m final.
The 26-year-old lives near South Zeal in Dartmoor National Park.
Georgina, or Gorgs, as she prefers to be called, goes riding on Dartmoor with her horse, Zippy, and also goes running in the National Park, as part of her fitness training.
Gorgs grew up on Dartmoor and says that Dartmoor is really special to her as she can get away from all the hustle and bustle and be quiet, letting her reflect upon things and get her goals ready for whatever might be next on the horizon.
