Cairngorms Nature

The Cairngorms Nature project is involved in habitat restoration at a landscape scale across the National Park, including;

  • Restoring 200ha of bare peat.
  • Restoring Montane scrub, one of the UK's rarest habitat types.
  • Expanding and improving connectivity of Caledonian pinewoods.
  • Using natural river processes and riparian woodland management to help reduce the impacts of flood events.
