Dartmoor is one of the few areas in the country where we can see not just individual features, but collections of related features.  These show us how large areas of land were organised and used in the past.

The purpose of this leaflet is to illustrate the variety of archaeological features you might come across on the open moor.  It is hoped that by learning to recognise them damage will be prevented.
