Natural England / ENPAA climate change workshop

ENPAA and Natural England ran a joint workshop “Changing Climate, Changing Landscapes – Responding to climate change in England’s National Parks” at Losehill Hall in the Peak District National Park on 14 and 15 December 2009. The workshop brought key Natural England and English National Park Authority staff together to share knowledge and develop both Natural England’s and the National Park Authorities’ work on climate change, as part of the NE / ENPAA Shared Outcomes Agreement.
The aims of the workshop were to:
- Consider the risks from climate change to National Parks and begin an action planning process to help shape future priorities
- Explore how NE and NPAs can influence low carbon land management
- Examine the most appropriate renewable energy options for protected landscapes
- Provide an opportunity for staff to meet and discuss climate change related issues highlighted in the NE / ENPAA Shared Outcomes Agreement
