A cycle route and footpath has been constructed along the railway's entire length allowing cyclists and walkers of all abilities to enjoy the Norfolk countryside. Walk or cycle one way and take the train back for a day out with a difference.

Walking
There are 15 official walking routes in the region, from the nine-mile Bure Valley Path to the long-distance Weavers Way between Cromer and Great Yarmouth.
Norfolk walks include three long distance routes: the Angles' Way, the Weavers’ Way and the Wherryman’s Way, which also includes a cycle route
