The Feature and Innovations areas of the eNews have a discussion forum associated with them.  You can join these online discussions. First, you will need to register. Then you join discussions. Here’s how:

A. Register

1. Register by typing into the relevant boxes:

2. Click “Submit” The “Submit” button is at the bottom of the page.

You are now registered. You will be automatically sent an email which will have your username and password on it, so you have it to hand.

Once you hit the “Submit” button, you will automatically be taken to a new page. On this screen “Click here to go to the main index”. This button will take you to the discussion areas.

BPost a note" or reply

If you have just registered and clicked “Click here to go to the main index”, then you will automatically be taken to the discussion areas. Once at the discussion areas:

1. Click on the discussion area you are interested in ie “Dry Stone Walling” or “Audio Trails and Digital Interpretation”.

2. Click on “New Topic”.

A screen will come up where you can type in a “Subject” and then in the box below you can type in your comments regarding a question that has been raised, a response to someone else’s “post”, or comments you would like to make regarding the topic area – It is just like writing an email.

3. Click “Submit”

Your “post” now becomes a topic for discussion for other people to respond to.

If there are other people online at the same time as you, you can have a “live discussion” with them. This is done by reading other people’s responses and then typing a new “post” in response to their comments. You can do this by clicking “Post Reply”, type in your response, and “Submit”.

If you come online when a moderator is there, you can ask questions and contribute to discussion making the most of the moderator’s availability and the potential for useful debate and resourcing. The dates and times moderators will be available are posted on their discussion areas.

How to come back at another time

Once you have registered, you will have a Password and a Username, which is used to log in when you first come onto the site.

To come back onto the site at any time, this link will take you to the discussion areas
