We are looking for a new Assistant Building Conservation Officer to join our integrated Historic Environment team. The successful candidate will help promote and implement the conservation and enhancement of the special built environment within the nationally designated landscape of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Salary: £18,453 - £22,221 per annum (with possible progression to £26,276 per annum); 37 hours per week; fixed term contract for one year; based in Bainbridge, Wensleydale.

Northumberland National Park is launching an Upland Farming Traineeship to provide opportunities for people to get skills in farming.

Our job is to maintain the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage of the Yorkshire Dales and promote wider understanding and greater enjoyment of this irreplaceable treasure. This role will provide support to the Authority's Wildlife Conservation Team in conserving, enhancing and raising awareness of the biodiversity of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Fixed term contract (one year); salary: £14,733 - £16,830 per annum pro rata (with possible progression to £19,621 pro rata); 15 hours per week; based in Grassington.

Reporting into the HR Manager, you will provide an advisory service to all mangers and staff on all aspects of HR.

We are looking to appoint to the above posts at our Dartmoor National Park Authority Information Centres at Princetown and Postbridge. The work is varied and requires a good knowledge of the Dartmoor area. Applicants must be confident communicators, be able to deal with enquiries from the public in person, by telephone and e-mail in a friendly and out-going manner. The role involves providing information and also selling the range of publications and other items available at our Information Centres. A working knowledge of using computerised tills would be an advantage.
