Do you want to use our maps?

Our maps are based on Ordnance Survey data, for which OS own the copyright. Here's a quick guide to who can use our maps and what for:

Anyone is free to look at and print out the maps on our website for personal use.

School students aged 16 or under - you can download, print and use our maps in your school work for free.

Teachers at Local Authority funded schools, or privately funded schools with students aged 16 or under - you can download, print and use our maps in your lessons and with your students for free.

Teachers in privately funded school for students 16 or over, you will need an OS educational licence. See the OS website for details of educational licences.
