National Parks Week

25 - 31 July 2011
This year's National Parks Week is all about providing fun for all ages and abilities.
We have a host of activities on offer around the country. So whether you're a family with young children, or an adult with mobility problems, you should find something that's 'good for you'!
You could:
- travel back in time to experience life in an Iron Age hut (Pembrokeshire)
- go for a healthy walk and learn about myths and legends (Dartmoor)
- have a go at archery (Lake District, North York Moors)
- go deer-watching (Exmoor)
- go to a family fun day at a wheelchair-friendly National Park Centre (Peak District, Lake District).
- take to the water canoeing (Lake District)
- brush up your map and compass skills (Peak District)
- help plant trees (Cairngorms)
For active adults there are strenuous ranger-led walks and for those with little legs (or older legs) there are easy guided strolls. So go on, pack a picnic, some sturdy boots and your waterproofs or sun hat, and let the fun begin.
Many of our events are free. See pages on the left for event details!
