Sir Ranulph Fiennes

Sir Ranulph Fiennes travelled around the Earth's surface via both the North and South poles with fellow Trans-Globe Expedition team mate Charles Burton between 1979 and 1982.
Described in 1984 by The Guinness Book of Records as “the world’s greatest living explorer”, he has gone on to break many world records and lead expeditions to remote regions.
Sir Ranulph, who lives on Exmoor, said: “Training is obviously a vital part of the preparation for any expedition and I’m fortunate enough to live in Exmoor National Park where there is plenty of space to get out for a run and enjoy the fresh air"
