Recipe for heather honey cake

How to make it:

Gently heat the honey, sugar, butter and water in a pan over a low heat until melted. Beat in the egg, followed by the flour, sieved in with the baking powder. Bake in a greased and lined 7 inch cake tin at 350F/180C/gas mark 4 for 45 minutes. Leave to cool in the tin before turning out.

Warm together the honey, water and icing sugar and brush over the cake to glaze.

Best eaten with a big pot of tea and shared with friends.
