Winning Landscapes Photo Competition 2012
We want to thank all of you who entered the competition. We've been amazed by the diverse and stunning images you've sent in. The teams at ANPA and Merrell created a shortlist alongside the Peak District's professional photographer Alex Hyde. Ben Fogle had the tricky job of picking just one winning landscape, and here it is:

Cwm Idwal in Snowdonia National Park, taken by Michal Tekel.
Michal says this is his winning landscape simply because it is "magnificent scenery".

Ben Fogle our head judge said, "This stunning photograph from Snowdonia, for me, sums up the eclectic diversity and variety of our National Parks. It is a beautiful photograph in its composition of green rolling hills, rugged rock, soaring mountains, reflective lakes and thousands of acres of sky."
Emily Carr from Merrell said, "It's great to see the creativity and inspiration Britain's fantastic outdoor spaces provide for visitors and as a proud supporter of the UK National Parks, Merrell is pleased to be part of these outdoor adventures."
Kathryn Cook from UK ANPA said, "We were truly amazed at the number and standard of the entries - which made our job of whittling it down to a shortlist very hard indeed! It just goes to show that our family of UK National Parks, with the huge variety of landscapes and activities for all abilities that they offer, are dear to the hearts of the British people. We're grateful to everyone who entered - and to Ben for choosing our winner!"
Here's the gallery of our shortlist, special congratulations to all the entrants for these photographs.
