Beaulieu River

Superb riverside walk between the picturesque village of Beaulieu and the historic shipbuilder’s hamlet of Buckler’s Hard. The walk is suitable for pushchairs and there are great views of the river through the oak trees that come down to the water’s edge. The walk follows part of the Solent Way long distance footpath and passes through a National Nature Reserve which has boardwalks and a bird hide where you can view the wildlife.

Eridge Walk

An introduction to one of the best surviving medieval landscapes in Northern Europe; characterised by rolling hills dissected by steep-sided gills and studded with sandstone outcrops, small, irregular-shaped fields, abundant ancient woods and hedges, scattered farmsteads and sunken lanes.

Up onto the Downs

After a steep climb at the beginning, this walk is mostly downhill along the South Downs Way, looping down through the pretty village of Burpham and back along the edge of the River Arun floodplain.

A circular walk from Harlington railway station through the rolling Sundon Hills with great views of the northern Chilterns. Follow part of the ancient Icknield Way and gaze at the distinctive beech-clad Sharpenhoe Clappers.
